LumenLeaf: PPFD Grow Light for iPhone
LumenLeaf: PPFD Grow Light uses a phone to estimate PAR/PPFD, DLI, lux, foot-candles and color temperature where plants actually sit. Pick the light source, make the guided printer-paper diffuser, measure at plant height, and enter the photoperiod to turn a reading into DLI. It labels sunlight, white LED, HPS, CMH, fluorescent and mixed-light readings separately, so a grower can compare conditions for herbs, houseplants, microgreens or a grow tent. The key distinction is measurement mode: compatible phones use the rear camera in RAW mode, while phones without RAW support fall back to an explicitly marked ambient-light-sensor estimate. It is therefore a phone-based estimate, not a replacement for a calibrated dedicated PAR meter.

What is it?
LumenLeaf: PPFD Grow Light is an app for PAR, PPFD, DLI, illuminance, and color-temperature readings for indoor growing.
What problem does it solve?
Plants can look underlit or overlit long before a grower knows how much usable light reaches them. LumenLeaf turns readings into PPFD and DLI and clearly distinguishes camera readings from ambient-sensor estimates.
What it can do
- PPFD in µmol/m²/s — real-time photon flux density
- DLI in mol/m²/d — daily light integral with photoperiod input
- Lux and foot-candle illuminance
- Color temperature in Kelvin (CCT)
- Per-light-source readings: Sunlight, White LED, HPS, CMH, Fluorescent, Mixed
- 100% free — every feature, every plant preset, no paywalls
- No account, no email, no sign-up

How to use it
Choose the light-source type, follow the visual guide to make the paper diffuser, then measure at plant level. Enter the photoperiod to see DLI and use the stated measurement mode when interpreting a reading.
Who it is for
Houseplant keepers, herb and microgreen growers, hydroponic hobbyists, and grow-tent users.
