2. Summary

Car Parking Reminder is designed to process your data on your device wherever possible. The list below states exactly what the app does and does not do; the following sections give the details.

  • ✖ Network connection: The map on the walk-back screen downloads its tiles from OpenStreetMap, so those requests reach OpenStreetMap's servers and reveal roughly where you are looking. Turning the map off in Settings → Privacy stops that traffic. Unlocking Pro goes through the App Store or Google Play.
  • ✔ No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not measure how you use the app.
  • ✔ No advertising. The app contains no ad networks and uses no advertising identifiers.
  • ✔ No tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites and we never sell or share personal data.
  • ✔ No account. The app never asks you to register or sign in.
  • ✔ No cloud sync. Your data is stored only on your device; device backups made by Apple or Google are outside our control.
  • ✖ Personal data collected by us: We run no servers and receive nothing from the app — no account, no analytics, no advertising, no profile. Two things still leave the device, neither of them to us: map tile requests go to OpenStreetMap, and a Pro purchase is handled by Apple or Google.

3. Data processed on your device

The app stores the following on your device: Parking records — coordinates, time, GPS accuracy and whether the spot was saved by hand or detected automatically. Anything you attach to them: a photo, a note, a garage level. Parking-zone timers, and your settings (appearance, units, how long photos are kept, whether the map may load tiles). Photos are files in the app's own folder; everything else is a database on the device.. This data is kept in the app's private storage, protected by your device's security features. We have no access to it.

4. Device permissions

The app asks for the following permissions, each only when a feature needs it. You can grant or revoke any of them in your device settings at any time; the app keeps working with reduced functionality.

  • Location — To save where you parked and to point you back to it. The coordinates stay on the device.
  • Camera — To photograph the spot, which is what saves you in a garage where GPS does not reach.
  • Photos & gallery — To attach a picture of the spot from your library instead of taking a new one.
  • Notifications — To remind you before the parking zone runs out, and again when it does.
  • Exact alarms — A parking reminder that arrives late is worthless, so the timer is scheduled exactly.
  • Bluetooth — To notice your car's hands-free disconnecting and save the spot on its own (Pro).

Data accessed through these permissions is processed on your device; see section 5 for the only cases in which the app uses a network connection.

5. Network use

The map on the walk-back screen downloads its tiles from OpenStreetMap, so those requests reach OpenStreetMap's servers and reveal roughly where you are looking. Turning the map off in Settings → Privacy stops that traffic. Unlocking Pro goes through the App Store or Google Play.

6. Features that hand data outside the app at your request

The following actions are started only by you and pass data to apps or services that you choose. From that moment the recipient's own terms apply.

  • Sharing. When you use Share, the content you selected is handed to the app or service you pick in the system share sheet. We never receive it.
  • External links. Links open in your browser or in another app. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
  • Notifications. Reminders and alerts are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved.

7. Third parties

The app works with the following third-party services. Each processes data only for the stated purpose and under its own privacy policy:

  • OpenStreetMap Foundation — Serves the map tiles shown on the walk-back screen. Can be switched off in Settings. (privacy policy)
  • Apple — Processes the Pro unlock purchase on iOS. We never see your payment details. (privacy policy)
  • Google — Processes the Pro unlock purchase on Android. We never see your payment details. (privacy policy)

Platforms. Apple and Google operate the app stores, payments and device backups independently of us and under their own privacy policies. If you have chosen in your device settings to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may show us aggregated crash statistics; we do not control that service and cannot identify you from it.

8. Backups

Your device's backup features (iCloud Backup, Google backup) may include the app's data. Backups are provided by Apple or Google under their terms; we have no access to them. Keeping backups is your responsibility – without a backup, the app's data is lost when you uninstall the app, reset or lose the device.

9. Retention and deletion

  • Data stored by the app is kept in the app's storage until you delete it or uninstall the app. Open History, swipe a parking sideways and confirm — the record and its photo go together. Photos can also expire on their own: Settings → Photos → keep for a week, a month, three months, or forever. Uninstalling the app removes everything at once.
  • Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from the device (except files you exported yourself and device backups).
  • E-mails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and no longer than 12 months after it is closed, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.

10. Legal basis (GDPR)

When you contact us, we process your e-mail address and the content of your message on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing support (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, where the request concerns a purchase, the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in the Czech Republic the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz) or the authority in your country of residence.

Because the app stores its data only on your device, we cannot access, export or delete that data for you – you have full control over it directly on your device. Requests concerning our support correspondence can be sent to support@lapnito.cz.

12. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or the higher minimum age applicable in your country). We do not knowingly process personal data of children.

13. Security

The app relies on the security features of your operating system (application sandbox, device encryption, screen lock). Keeping your device updated and protected is your responsibility.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when the app gains new features. The effective date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
